Loom knitting!

After a very long time, I’m back!

I got two new hobbies in these 6 months of inactivity: crocheting and loom knitting.

My first loom knitted project (I’m still on it) is an infinity scarf.

I found this tutorial and I think it’s super easy! After I finish it I want to try this loom knitted hat.

Meanwhile here’s a DIY I tried recently:

How To Make A DIY Rainbow Highlighter – Picture Tutorial

Today I’ll be doing a picture tutorial on how to make a DIY Rainbow Highlighter!

This is how it looks when you add 1 colour, you can add a few which will add a multicoloured effect!
Step 1: Take a yellow highlighter.

Step 2: Take another colour, I chose blue. And press it on a side

Step 3: Add as many colours as you like, but note that after a while, the colours may stain on each other / change colour. This is why I prefered to only add 1 colour…

After a bit the blue became green and if your colours get mixed up, it’s easy to take it off by highlighting on a spare piece of paper until the first colour comes back (in my case, yellow).

I hope you enjoyed today’s tutorial! Please leave a comment and suggest what posts you would like next!

Quizlet App Review #2

So… I know it’s been 3 weeks I haven’t blogged… But here is today’s post!
Quizlet app review #2
This is an app that helps you revise / memorise stuff in flash cards, you also have tests, and you can make classes and make new sets. And I think it’s good with all tests!
I use this app to practice and you can also see in a class who’s on the lead in the fastest in the tests etc!
So, I like this app and I’d rate it 3 out of 5 stars!
If you know any useful apps let me know in the comments!

New Layout!

So I just wanted to do a quick post to let you know that I’ve changed theme, I used to have Sela, and now changed it to Adelle.

I find the Adelle theme better for DIYs and explaining!

What do you think??? If you want to see it, just click on “visit site on Internet/Browser” and you’ll get my page! Themes sadly don’t show in the reader!

PS: Hopefully I’ll do a DIY post soon!

DIY Washi Tape Bow #2 Tutorial

DIY Washi Tape Bow #2!

Today I’ll be doing a DIY with step by step pictures, on how to make a DIY Washi Tape bow!

I’ve already made one before here , that was a great gift, hair bow, gift bow etc… but used a lot of Washi tape.

This one uses way less Washi and is great for decoration! It’s super easy and really cute!

The Washi tape I’m using is a new collection (it’s more of a glittery tape!) that I also got from The Works (The Works) , it is so so so cute and really glittery!!

Here are the steps:

Step 1: Cut a strap of Washi tape minimum 4.5cm

Step 2: Make a line to centre the triangles (for next step)

Step 3: Cut triangles towards the inside as per pictures

Step 4: Cut another piece of Washi that’s double the size and make a circle with it. (9cm)

Step 5: Cut a piece of paper the same length as the last bit (9cm).

Step 6: Stick it to the 9cm stripe.

Step 7: Make a circle as per pictures.

Step 8: Staple it on the first bit.

Step 9: Add a little strap to make it as a bow!

You can also make the same without any paper or stapling, which is simpler and even faster by gluing it, but it’s less strong than this one!

All done!!!

The Homework App Review #1

Today I’ll be doing an app review that I use, let me know if you like this kind of post, and of course, if you want some more.
PS: Sorry I haven’t been posting & commenting as usual, I am quite busy these days!

hw App

The Homework App is an app (obviously) where you make folders known as subjects, and then make tasks for each subject.

You can set a due date, add the priority and add some notes. You can also make a weekly timetable.

I like it because you have a lot of options for the Free version, and it helps me to see what work I’ve done (it can also be for work), and what I have left to do, here are some examples of screenshots:

(There are 3 pictures collaged together!)

Collab! Back to School DIYs & Revision Tips

So today’s post is going to be a collab with Prettysightsandfairylights, hope you enjoy it!

Back to School DIY Projects:

DIY Pencil Case!

I’ve made a pencil case last week where I’ve put my favourite pens & pencils, I found it really cute, so I’ve decided to add it to my DIY Back to School post! There are a few ways to do it, but I’ve hand sewn it, you could also just {hot} glue it, or sew it with a sewing machine. On YouTube there is a full range of videos so you can find the right pencil case!

DIY Stationary (to go with the pencil case!)

Here is where Washi tape comes back again! You can either just roll a stripe at the top {anywhere you like!} or put some everywhere on the pen{cil}!

Washi tape scissors are really nice as well!

DIY Earphone holder!

There are so many ways to make earphone holders! I’ve tried one with a card on my post here, and another with 2 clothes pegs glued together, the first one was my favourite!

DIY Desk Organisation!

  1. Make a DIY pen{cil} holder with a glass jar which you can decorate with washi tape, acrylic paint, or even paper!
  2. Make a calendar mouse (computer mouse!) mat with some laminated calendar glued on some foam!

School revision tips!

  1. Clear up and organise your desk (with the DIY Desk Organisation above), it helps learn more.
  2. Write everything in a planner, so that you don’t have to bother any classmates to ask what was the homework, and what topic the next test is! Here is one app that I really like: HW App
  3. Make yourself a schedule
  4. Prepare for revision a few weeks before, to not get any last minute stress!
  5. Organise and label each folder, also make sure your revision sheets are really neat, so you don’t get confused
  6. Sleep early, it really helps!
  7. Drink a lot of water, you’ll focus more during the test and learn easier

So that’s all for today’s post! I hope you’ve enjoyed it, and let me know if you’ll want more of these!

Please comment, like and follow!

PS: one of my next post (after the Q&A and another DIY) could be a baking recipe so keep a lookout for it!

My Previous Post: 100 Followers Q&A

100 Followers Q&A!!

This morning I’ve received an email notification saying I’ve got a new follower, so I checked and I saw, 100 followers, it was until my 101th that I got the notification badge!

I was smiling whilst writing the title, I would have never thought when I started this blog, diywithme220, that I would get 101 followers!

So for having 100 followers (I mean 101!), I will do a Q&A!

Of course, as I am anonymous, I won’t do private questions! But anything else is okay!

Please comment, follow, etc! Thanks!
